Imagine writing a book …

Many of my authors write well but don’t know how to create a business book. Writing even a short book is time-consuming. It can take a non-professional author at least 1,000 hours to finish a non-fiction book. Finding gaps to research, organise and write the material given a busy schedule is virtually impossible for most people unless they employ a business ghostwriter.

Ghostwriter: a person whose job it is to write material for someone else who is the named author.

Ghostwriting isn’t anything unusual

It’s said that at least half of all traditionally published books are worked on by more than one person.

In fact, many famous business books have only come about because of a business ghostwriter’s involvement. The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People (Stephen Covey with Ken Shelton), The Art of the Deal (Donald Trump with Tony Schwartz) and Losing My Virginity (Richard Branson with Edward Whitley) among them.

I wrote this book (Who Says Elephants Can’t Dance?) without the aid of a co-author or a ghostwriter (which is why it’s a good bet this is going to be my last book; I had no idea it would be so hard to do).

A business ghostwriter saves you time & effort

However, if you let me plan, research and write the book for you, I can dramatically cut your commitment to perhaps just 15 to 20 hours. That means you will get your book written without it becoming a burden.

“This is brilliant Ian, thank you! Again, you have done an excellent job weaving a nice story together. Excellent.”

If you don’t use a business ghostwriter, you may have to wait until you retire or quit your job before you can write a book. Alternatively, you could do it part-time, a process that can take many years.

A business ghostwriter will make your book happen

I’ve created processes to make the ghostwriting easier and more convenient for you.

I’ve created processes to make the ghostwriting easier and more convenient for you. By asking questions as your business ghostwriter, I’ll also force you to assess, analyse and test your own thinking. That in itself will enable you to strengthen your core ideas and so produce a better book, something many of my authors appreciate.

Of course, if your ideas don’t yet run to a full-blown book, we can always create a shorter piece instead. What I call a ThoughtManifesto – a condensed book of typically 6,000 to 10,000 words. This is long enough to develop an idea without the time or effort investment of a book. This is the perfect vehicle for building awareness and understanding of your new idea, fast, effectively and in a way that enhances your personal and business credibility, as well as demonstrating thought leadership.
