Business books build businesses

Business book. A powerful marketing tool.
My clients are generally entrepreneurs, business owners and consultants.

A business book is one of the most powerful, multi-purpose marketing tools around. In a survey of entrepreneurs and executives who are authors, nearly all said it had had a significant and positive impact on their business.

So, if you haven’t written one already … you almost certainly should.

My clients are generally entrepreneurs, business owners and consultants who see a book as a way to market themselves, record their involvement in an event, or position themselves as a thought leader.

Commentators post blogs, experts write a business book

As the media always seeks out those who ‘wrote the book on a subject’, having a business book to your name creates immediate authority and generates exposure for you and your ideas you wouldn’t otherwise have had.  And, with a book in the public domain, you will also be easier to find in online searches and that’s to your commercial advantage.

Setting out your philosophy in a book also enables others to understand your brand better. That’s particularly useful if you are looking to disrupt your market with a new idea. You can see examples of thought leadership pieces I’ve written here.

Communicate new ideas

Your business will also enjoy the ‘halo effect’ that comes from you publishing a business book, boosting employee morale and further positioning you as a leader to follow. That marks you out as an interesting potential employer who’s able to attract better talent.

“Ian’s not only a talented writer with a well-researched approach – but he also writes in an ‘easy to read’ style that engages. Very flexible and great to work with … highly recommended – thank you.”

A business book is a great calling card

Ideas for business book
Authoring a business book forces you to think in detail about what you do and how you do it.

You can even use a book to launch a new business. Books are fantastic for start-ups, particularly those selling B2B services. However, you can use them to promote other physical, software and information products.

If you want to get speaking opportunities, then a book is a ‘great calling card’ as it shows event organisers you are well-qualified to talk on a subject.

Often when it comes to business books, sales aren’t the best or most useful measure of success.

Let’s get that first sentence written …

Writing a book requires research and writing skills and an understanding of structure. If you don’t possess these already why not use me as your ghostwriter then you won’t need to learn them.

So, if you want to share your ideas with the world, call me on 01432 76148, email, or book a time for us to talk.
